We have six levels of sponsorship, with the lowest starting at just £50. We would love to be supported by lots of local businesses, to really send the message that Yeovil is a safe and supportive place for LGBT+ people. We’re fiercly trans-inclusive, and expect our partners to be so too.
You won’t find big name performers at our annual event, but we do have homegrown talent; local singers, poets, dancers and more. Our Pride is for our community (although everyone is welcome) – the people we support in many different ways, all year round. We believe Pride is a movement and an attitude; not a single day of the year.
If that’s something you can get behind, we’d love your help. While we’re committed to keeping Yeovil Does Pride events free to attend, putting on a Pride comes with a price tag. The event is entirely run by volunteers, fuelled by goodwill and community spirit, but we still have a lot of things to be paid for.
We know that not all businesses will be in a position to support us financially, but first and foremost Pride is about community and we don’t want to exclude supportive local businesses for money’s sake. In a world where homophobia and transphobia are not only still a problem, but even on the rise, we would rather have people willing to stand with us than a pound in our pocket. That being said, financial support is essential to enable the event to go ahead and with that in mind our lowest sponsorship tier is just £50.
