At all of our public events, we always welcome allies. Firstly, we recognise the important role that allies play in our lives, and how their support can improve and enrich how we experience the world around us. The other reason we include allies is that by doing so, it allows people who aren’t out yet to be able to participate in what we do with significantly less fear of being “outed” by being seen in our spaces – and plausible deniability if needed to keep them safe.
That being said, this page is specifically for our allies – hello! Thanks for being here 🙂
This page came about from people wanting to know more about being an ally, how they can help LGBT+ people in our local area and good allyship in general. We’re really lucky to have permission from an amazing charity Hidayah
